I am researching the GEORGE surname in Wapello county. In particular Andrew GEORGE born IN 1821, who married Mary JOHNSON of Van Buren county. I suspect he may be connected to Solomon GEORGE, as well as Mathew, Stephen and Claiborne GEORGE all in Wapello county and all born IN. Stephen and Claiborne along with Thomas COOPER were listed in consective households in the 1860 census. Also in the COOPER household was Solomon GEORGE aged 68 and his wife Milly. I am wondering if Mary COOPER, born IN, was the daughter of Solomon and Milly.

If you or anyone reading this posting can confirm the connection of these families, I'd love to hear from you. I am especially interested in knowing more about Andrew and Mary GEORGE.
