Sarah McGee Henderson was born in the year 1823 in Atkens county Ohio and died September 21, 1910,having journeyed in this world for more than 87 years. She was united in marriage in 1841 to John Henderson, he having preceded her in death some 18 years. She and her husband came to Iowa and settled near Agency in the year of 1851, where resided until the time of her death. It was there she united with the Christian church in the year 1872 and continued one of its most faithful adherents until called to her better home.
She leaves to mourn their loss, one son and three daughters, Mary Chapman, Dayton, Wash; Cagiel Henderson, Ottumwa; Mrs. Frank McMillan, Agency and Mrs. I.N. Blizzard of Ottumwa. She also leaves several grandchildren, relatives, and a large circle of friends. Six of her grandsons acted as pallbearers. Funeral services
were conducted from the McMillan residence southeast of Ottumwa. Interment in the Agency Cemetery.--Contributed
