LOOKING FOR FAMILY OF JOHN LINK
John Link's Family
"Irish Eyes"
I, along with an old Army buddy of mine, am currently writing a book about the intelligence war in Vietnam. John Link was a friend of mine, and when I moved to North Carolina in December 1965, he went with me. He had been home on leave, and was on his way to Ft. Bragg in Fayetteville.During the months that he was at Ft. Bragg, John spent nearly every weekend with me and my room-mate in Greensboro. We were both veterans, and my room-mate had spent a year in Vietnam.
To make a long story short, we want to dedicate our book to John and we would like to contact someone from the family. I have been gone from Ottumwa for over 45 years, so my list of contacts there is pretty slim. I don't know if his brother Terry or his sisters still live in the area, or not, and I do not know if his parents are still living. I've had no contact with his mother since about 1970.
I would appreciate anyone's help in contacting someone from the Link family. My email is gbblackburn@yahoo.com. Thanks!
