The problem you have is that, according to all the census and Iowa records, the Ira's surname is not CookSON, but CookSTON. I think the information below pertains to your query.
From the 1900 Wapello county census, 3rd ward, Ottumwa, Wapello county, Iowa, page 120A:

Cookston, Ira R.; head; born Sept 1869; birthplace, Indiana; father's birthplace, Indiana; mother's birthplace, Indiana; occupation, day laborer
Cookston, Eliza; wife; born Aug 1871; birthplace, Indiana; father's birthplace, Kentucky; mother's birthplace, Indiana
Cookston, Eliza*; dau; born June 1892; birthplace, Iowa
Cookston, Opal; dau; born March 1894; birthplace, Indiana*From the other records in Wapello county, I believe that there is an error in the census. I think the eldest daughter's name was Blanche Beatrice Cookston. Wapello county marriage reords show a Blanche Beatrice Cookston, with parents Ira and Eliza married Rollen W. Cornell on 8 Nov 1906.
