From the 1880 Federal Census, Wapello county, Iowa:

Bare, A.W., head, aged 33, born Iowa, father born Ohio, mother born Ohio
Bare, Olive J., wife, aged 31, born Illinois
Bare, Jenny, dau, aged 9, born Iowa
Bare, Berty, son, aged 7, born Iowa
Bare, Oscar E.,son, aged 4, born Iowa
Bare, Abby, dau, aged 3, born Iowa
Bare, Carlos, son, aged 9M, born Iowa.

From Wapello county marriage records:

Amos W. Bare married Olive J. Lewis on 27 Dec 1869

From Wapello county WPA records:

Bare, A.W. 1848 - 1887, buried Agency Cemetery, Wapello county.

I can only find one of Amos' children listed above. Oscar E. Bare appears in the 1910, 1920, and 1930 Federal census for Connewango Township, Caddo county, Oklahoma.

The last I can find Olive is in the 1910 Fedeal census. She is living with son Don/Dan C. Bare, aged 29 in Crook County, Wyoming.

Based on intuition and available records, I believe that Amos Bare's father was Jacob V. Bare, born Ohio 1825 and died in Agency, Iowa on 28 Apr 1903.
