MONK in Competine Township

I am looking for any information about Larkin Monk who went to Iowa in 1860. He appears in the Federal Population Census for 1860 under Cometine Township. He came from Iowa with his wife, I believe. I know he had at least two children, one was named Frank, born in 1871. Any assistance would be appreciated.
