It appears that Gephart/Gebhard Schoech and Emma had at least 9 children: Charles, born 1 Oct 1857; Gebhard/Gebhart, born Jan 1859; Harrison (Harry), born abt 1861; Herman, born 24 Jan 1864; Adolph, born abt 1866; Otto, born abt 1868; Joseph, born abt 1871; Walter, born abt 1873 and May H. born abt 1875.

It appears that Charles and Herman moved to Sacremento, California. California death records show that Charles died in Sacremento on 17 Jun 1940 and Herman on 2 Nov 1942. By the way the California death records also show the death of William Alton Schoech (born Iowa 17 Oct 1904; died 26 Jan 1982, mother's maiden name Hudgens).

Gebhard Jr. apparently moved to Jefferson County, Colorado. He married Sarah Higgin there on 8 Mar 1885. He appears in the 1900 census for Jefferson county. One interesting thing is that a few entries away from him in the 1900 census is a Joseph Schoech, born in Austria - possibly another relative of yours.

You may wish to contact a person at the following e-mail address friend@network2.net. He/she has posted some information on Charles Schoech in ancestry.com and may have additional information. I don't know whether the address is valid, since the last posting was in 1996.
