THOMPSON - LAFFERTY
At the bride's home, Eddyville, Iowa, J.Q. Thompson of Pratt Kansas, to Miss Hattie H. Lafferty, Dec. 14, 1887 by Rev. I.P. Teter

The wedding was largely attended by a host of friends of the bride and groom.

Miss Lafferty is one of the most accomplished and popular young ladies of Eddyville, and Mr. Thompson was formerly a leading teacher of this county, and is now of the law firm of Bowman & Thompson at his Kansas home. Mr. Thompson will be remembered by many Wapello county people as a young man of high character and excellent ability, and we are glad to know that he is enjoying a good law practice where he now and rapidly growing into public favor. Mr. Thompson is a very worthy young man, just such as win in the race of life. The Courier extends it's congratulations.
