Arthur P. Fulton

Arthur P. Fulton, son of Pearl and Edith Snook Fulton, was born July 5, 1902 near Selma and died the morning of Thursday, July 5, 1990 at his home on the same farm where he was born, 2 1/2 miles northeast of Selma in extreme southwestern Jefferson County.

He graduated from Selma High Schoo and attended Parsons College, Fairfield and Iowa State College, Ames. He was a farmer and inventor, and had been employed at Rock Island, Illinois Arsenal, John Deere in Waterloo, Green Foundry in Des Moines and at an aircraft factory in Seattle, Washington.

Surviving are a brother, Fred of rural, Selma, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Harry and Wayne and five sisters, Grace Roher, Beth Campbell, Marian Daggett, Millie Edwards and Florence Parsons.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 7, 1990 at 10 a.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds, with Rev. Gerald Caughron officiating. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield. A memorial has been established for the Mt. Zion Community Church.
