Joseph Blind

Joseph L. Blind, 53, of rural West Point, Iowa, died at 3:30 p.m. Friday, July 13, 1990, at Burlington Medical Center.

Born March 11, 1937, at West Point, he was the son of Frank and Teresa Jacobsmeier. He married Sharon J. Robinson Jan. 14, 1961, at West Point.

He was a farmer.

Surviving are his wife; four sons, Franklin H. Blind, Stockport, Timothy Blind, Darrel Blind and Joseph Blind Jr., all of West Point; one daughter, Mrs. LeAnn (Alan) Brayton, Fort Madison; four brothers, Robert Blind, West Point, LeRoy Blind, Smithshire, Ill., Francis Blind, Keokuk, and Harold Blind, Fort Madison; four sisters, Mrs. Francella (John) Kottensette and Mrs. Dorine (Alfred) Kenel, both of Fort Madison, Mrs. LeAnn (Keith) Miller, Salem, and Mary Lou (Stuart) Hulsebus, West Point; and five grandchildren.

Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 1990 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, West Point, with the Rev. Gerald Stouvenel officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, West Point.

Memorial has been established to the ALANO building fund, West Point.
