Frank H. Van Patten

Frank H. Van Patten, 80, of Oakland, Arkansas died August 27, 1990 at Baxter County Regional Hospital.

He was born May 25, 1910 at What Cheer, Iowa to Henry and Eliza Danner Van Patten. He married Mattie Overlander at Kahoka, Missouri, October 29, 1932.

For 20 years, he was an auto and implement dealer in Van Buren County, retired as vice-president of Vans Mobile Homes of Des Moines, was a salesman and an auctioneer in Mountain Home, Arkansas and was currently working at Walker Auction there. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include his wife; one son, David Van Patten, and one daughter, June Elder, both of Des Moines; two sisters, Minnie Burdock of What Cheer and Pansy Sampson of Barnes City; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and 10 brothers and sisters.

Roller Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
