Possible Greek ancestry

LAHARDIMOS, LAHARIDIMOS, LAHARTIMAS, HARDIMOS, HARIDIMOS ETC WHO MARRIED A SCOTT

I am looking for the family of Laodicia Lahardimos in Iowa in the l850's. "Lalie" married a Thomas Scott and they had a child named Nancy Ellender (Ellen) Scott born lin l852 in Iowa. Ellen marries her second cousin, Jasper Scott in Missouri later. So perhaps the whole family migrated to Daviess Co. Mo about that time.
I have been trying to research the name and it seems to be Greek spelled Xaridimos in Greece today. Does anyone out there in Iowaland have a connection to this surname who could help me out, or who may have seen it listed near the Scotts in some census. I am wondering if Lalie came over with parents, or if she came alone, or if she was born here. I have had a hard time coming up with anyone who has this name stateside.
