Are you perhaps looking for John Iski and not John Ishki?
John S. Iski of Lorain, Ohio died on December 23, 1944. The following link is to his grave marker in the military cemetery:

Born: November 8, 1919 Died: December 14, 2006Elizabeth J. Bellush (nee Holp), 87, of Lorain, died Thursday December 14, 2006 at the Wesleyan Village in Elyria after a brief illness. She was born November 8, 1919 in Clairton, Pennsylvania and had resided in Lorain most of her life. Elizabeth was a graduate of Lorain High School class of 1938 B. During World War II she worked at Western Automatic in Elyria and later at US Steel in Lorain. Elizabeth was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lorain and the church Rosary Society. She was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking, baking and crocheting.
She is survived by her daughter Judith Ann Miadock of Lorain, sons: Robert J. Iski of Lorain and Joseph J. Bellush of Amherst and 4 granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her first husband John Iski, Jr. who was killed in action in Bastogne, Belgium on December 23, 1944, second husband George J. Bellush on April 20, 1997, son James J. Bellush on May 23, 1998 and brothers John Holp and Andrew Holp.
