Battle with Burglars

Frank Patt had an exciting battle with burglars at Creston. He was concealed in a lumber yard trying to wait for thieves to come and carry away $500 worth of cutlery which they had stolen from his father’s store. When they appeared, Pratt fired and wounded one of the robbers. They returned the fire, narrowly missing Pratt. The wounded robber managed to crawl to a neighboring town, stole a horse and escaped.
