My Great Great Grandfather Thomas Burnett was said to have been a sheriff in Story Co. Iowa at one time. I can't find any records. I also can't find any records on the births of his 2 daughters and 4 sons born in Ames, Ia. from 1853 to 1870 when they moved to Bonaparte, Ia. If anyone could help me with dates from Story Co. and any info if he really was a sheriff I would really appreciate any help. Thanks, Debbie
