A. L. Peterson is probably Archie Peterson, a Slater resident who married Nellie Mason of Cambridge. There is information about the Peterson family in the Slater centennial book "I Remember Slater, Iowa". Archie and Nellie had seven children, so if this is the right identification, you wil be able to find quite a few relatives. Botella is likely to have been a sister of Nellie's mother or father. The 1895 census, marriage and birth records on this site can provide some more information. The Norwegians in Central Iowa site may also be helpful, since there could be connections in Polk County.
