Roland Man Victim Heart Attack at Sunset Home

Roland, Mar. 27--Thor J. Jacobson, 80, former Roland man, passed away suddenly Tuesday evening at the Sunset home at Story City from a heart attack. Although he had not been so well for some time he was able to be up and around and had been down to eat his supp and his death came as a surprise. Mr. Jacobson was born in Saude, Norway, Dec. 10, 1860, and was a son of the late Johannes and Barbara Aabe. He came with his parents to America at the age of 11 years. He has always lived in and around Roland until he entered the home a number of years ago. He leaves to mourn his death three sisters and one brother, Mrs. O. T. Molde of Roland, Mrs. Ole Halverson and Mrs. K. G. Amdahl of Kerkhoven, Minn., and Knute J. Jacobson of Dallas, Wis. The body was brought here Tuesday evening and funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Bergen's church with the Rev. M. O. Sumstad in charge. He will be buried in the Roland cemetery.
