Lon Williams Celebrate 40th Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Lon Williams were honored on their 40th wedding anniversary Feb. 28 at the Milford Township Consolidated School.
Hosts and hostesses were their children, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Kunast, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Williams, and Mr. and Mrs. Max R. Cook.
About 250 guests congratulated the couple at the reception and by phone calls and cards.
The serving table was covered with a lace cloth and centered with an arrangement of red and white carnations. A decorated wedding cake was also on the table. Mrs. Rex Needham and Mrs. Carl Christy poured coffee and punch.
Norene Hughes, accompanied by her mother, Mrs. Edna Hughes, sang.
Mr. and Mrs. Williams received a telephone call from his father M. J. Williams, and a sister, Mrs. Howard Ryan, in East Bend, N. C.
The couple's seven grandchildren were also present at the reception, including six-week-old Renee Lynn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Williams.
Guests came from Des Moines, Ogden, Cambridge, Zearing, Grimes, Kelley, Ames, Nevada, Story City and Roland.
