Stabbing Affray at Roland
~
Roland, June 4. – Hestor Olson, a farm hand living near Story City, came down to Roland Saturday night with the avowed intention of raising a disturbance and “doing up” Olaf and Albert Christian, living three miles south of Roland, Olson was alright as far as his intentions were concerned, but the “doing up” was engaged in principally by Olaf Christian. After the melee was over it was found that Olson had received a knife wound in the forehead , and a badly smashed nose as the result of a blow with a bottle.
