On Wednesday, December 17, at St. John’s Lutheran church four miles east of Ireton, Louis Vander Hamm and Miss Emma C. Geuder were united in holy bonds of matrimony, the Rev. The groomsmen were Robt. and Herbert Vander Hamm, twin brothers of the bridegroom.
A large attendance of relatives was present. At five o’clock a reception was held at the home of the bride’s sister, Mrs. Louise Heinrich. The young couple received many beautiful and costly presents.
The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Sophia Geuder, of Guttenberg, Iowa, and is a young lady of charming personality and good character. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. August Vander Hamm.
