Five Injured In Crash
Near Elk Horn------
Five persons, an oil truck dri-
ver and four rural school teachers,
were injured Saturday in an au-
tomobile collision three miles west
of Elk Horn. All were residents of
that place.Elizabeth Aagaard suffered a
broken nose; Ruby Potts, leg lac-
erations; Hilda Faaborg, loosened
teeth and cuts and bruises about
the head. The other occupant of
the car was only slightly bruised.Chris Esbeck, trucker for the
Nelsen and Jessen Oil company of
Elk Horn, received bruises.The accident occured when a
new Ford V-8 driven by Miss
Potts crashed into the side of Ex-
beck's truck. The teachers, all
riding in Miss Potts' machine,
were enroute north to a Shelby
county teachers meeting at Har-
lan. Esbeck was driving west.
His truck was nearly demolished
and the Potts car was badly dam-
aged.
