Funeral services for Rita Brus, 38, Davenport, were held July 16, 1988 at St. Ann's Catholic church, rural Long Grove, with Father John Hynes officiating. Eldon Green was the soloist and pallbearers were Douglas and Cory Green, Carlie Brus and Earl, Kevin and David Spickermann. Burial was in St. Ann's cemetery.

Mrs. Brus died July 12 in a one vehicle accident in Davenport.

The daughter of Arthur and Helen Epping Green, she was born Jan. 16, 1950 in DeWitt. She married Wayne Brus Aug. 14, 1972 in Grand Mound.

Mrs. Brus was a decorative artist and owned and operated the Painted Rainbow in Davenport for 7 years. She was a member of the church and its guild, and the Society of Tole and Decorative Artists. She enjoyed bowling.

She is survived by her husband; 2 sons, Andy and Tim, both at home and 2 brothers, David Green, Davenport and Roger Green, DeWitt. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
