Last rites for Mrs. Albert (Helen M.) Walton, 81, will be held at the United Presbyterian church, Wilton today (Dec. 9) with the Rev. Tilford Dindinger officiating. Burial will be in the Oakdale cemetery. Pallbearers are Norman Maurer, Hilbert and Nevin Kelley, Leland Smith, Herbert Townsend and Vernon Walton. Diana Maurer is organist.
Mrs. Walton died at the Wilton Nursing home Dec. 6.
The daughter of Edward J. and Sidney Speer, she was born in Scott county Feb. 21, 1906 and was married to Albert (Volney) Walton at Davenport March 5, 1927.
A resident of the Wilton area all her life, she was a member of the Presbyterian church, the Order of the Eastern Star and the NNC Federated club.
She is survived by a son, Albert, Wilton; 2 grandchildren; a brother, Ed Speer, Davenport and 4 sisters, Dorothy Port, Santa Rosa, Calif.; Edna Hoefker, Bettendorf; Ann Dalton, Davenport and Roma Rashid, Bettendorf.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter, Mary Ann Walton and a brother, William Speer.
