Last rites for Herbert H. Holdorf, 78, formerly of New Liberty, were held in Davenport Oct. 17 with the Rev. William Beattie officiating. Burial was in Memorial park, Davenport. Mr. Holdorf died at Cedar Manor Oct. 13.

Born near Plainview March 4, 1907, he was married to Ella Alvena Johansen in Ottumwa Oct. 17, 1934. He owned and operated the New Liberty elevator from 1937 to 1971 and was employed by the elevator until his retirement. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Davenport.

He is survived by his wife, a son, Harlan, 4 grandchildren; a sister, Minnie Harder, Davenport and a brother, Harlan, Pittsburgh, Pa.
