WEDDING BELLS
Charles Powell and Miss Amy Wright
The Contradicting PartiesCharles R. Powell and Miss Amy M. Wright were united in marriage Wednesday evening at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlton Wright, 1062 Arlington Avenue. The celebration took place at 8 o’clock and was performed by the Rev. F. W. Luce of the First M. E. Church, assisted by Rev. E. H. Lovett of the Calvary Baptist Church. About seventy-five of the relatives and friends of the contracting parties were present to wish the young couple happiness and contentment. The wedding presents were numerous and elegant.
The bride is well-known in Davenport as one of the young society ladies of the city and has a host of friends in and about Davenport. The groom is a graduate of the Davenport schools, has lived here all his life and now occupies the position of shipper for the ?. N. Roberts Co.
