MRS. EDNA ABARR DIES
Mrs. Edna ABARR, wife of Dr. R. D. [Ralph Day] ABARR, died Saturday afternoon at the Municipal Hospital in Clarinda, where she was taken the day before. She had been ill for several months. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Methodist Church in Blockton.Bedford Times-Press

Edna IRVIN, third daughter of S. M. and Maggie IRVIN, was born near Ravenwood, Missouri, September 22, 1885 and died September 18, 1948, age 62 years, 2 months and 26 days.She grew to young womanhood in the vicinity of Ravenwood and Parnell, Missouri with her father and three sisters as her Mother died, leaving them to care for themselves.
She was employed in Sheridan and Worth, Missouri until her marriage in 1906 to Arthur O. STANLEY. To them were born two children, Arthur Irvin and Frances Jean. Their life was spent on a farm east of Sheridan until the death of Mr. STANLEY in 1927.
After this she returned to Sheridan with her children and was employed at Stingley's Store. It was during this time she united with the Methodist Church in Sheridan.
In 1931 she was married to Dr. Ralph D. ABARR of Blockton, where she made a home long to be remembered by her loved ones and friends.
She took her membership to the Methodist Church in Blockton and was a loyal and willing worker.
She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, Dr. Ralph D. ABARR, two children, Arthur I[rvin]. STANLEY of Columbia, Mo., and Mrs. Frances AMRINE of Blockton; two step-daughters, Mrs. Carlota ENGLE of Denver, Colorado, and Mrs. Jean PHILLIPS of Blockton; two sisters, Mrs. Jessie JENKINS of Maryville and Mrs. Mellie SHEIRBON of Braddyville, Iowa; and ten grandchildren.
