Sgt. Virgil E. BOLINGER served during World War II with the U.S. Army, 21st Infantry Regiment of the 24th Infantry Division. Pvt. BARNETT was K.I.A. Tuesday, May 8, 1945, and was interred in Plot B, Row 14, Grave 131, Manila American Cemetery, Fort Bonifacio, Manila, Philippines. Sgt. BOLINGER was awarded the Purple Heart.
