OBITUARY - DELBERT DOLSON, WINTERSET

Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home for Delbert Avery DOLSON of Winterset. He died at Care Center North in Winterset on Jan. 3. He was 80 years old.

Born May 10, 1901 in Ellston, Iowa, he was the sone of James and Celesta CORNWALL DOLSON. He moved to Winterset in 1939 from Ellston.

On June 10, 1933 he married Edna ELLISON in Creston, Iowa. He was a retired farmer and also ran a maintainer for Madison County until his 1966 retirement.

Survivors include his wife Edna; two sons, James of Oberstaufenbach, Germany and Gene of Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Linda BACKUS of Phoeniz, Ariz. and Doris RINARD of Winterset and one sister, Alice TWOMBLEY of Fairfax, Iowa; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceeded in death by his parents, two brothers, three sisters, and an infant son.

Burial will be in Winterset Cemetery with Rev. Charles UPDIKE officiating.
