OBITUARY.

Eliza Jane THOMPSON was born in Adams County, Ohio, May 20, 1845, and died March 31, 1931, in Reynolds, at the age of 85, 10 months and 11 days.

She was the second child of Stephen N. and Katharine T. THOMPSON. She was of a family of nine children, seven sisters and one brother. When eight years of age she with her parents moved to Warren County, Illinois, where she grew to womanhood. She was converted and united with the United Presbyterian church at Cedar Creek.

On May 25, 1866, she was united in marriage to Thomas GIBSON. To this union four children were born, John B., deceased, Mrs. Catharine Isabelle WILCOX of Boise, Idaho, George W. of Mt. Ayr, Iowa, and Stephen of Gilead.

In 1870, they moved to Ringgold County, Iowa, and in 1875 was married to William COX. To this union six children were born Cora, deceased, Andrew and Ralph deceased, Arthur of Reynolds, Mrs. Ethel ORR of Mahaska, Kansas, and Mrs. Annie WILTS of Reynolds.

In 1877, she with her family moved to Nebraska. In 1898 she was married to M. L. MOON who has long since been deceased.
