OBITUARY

Mable Catherine BERG, 102, Maryville, died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, at her home. Born Feb. 10, 1900, in Mount Ayr, Iowa, to William Edward HINES and Mary Ellen BURNETT, she was a homemaker.

She married Leo Elias BERG, Nov. 4, 1919, in Parnell.

She was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Parnell; charter member of the Curry-Richardson-Sparks-Waldeier American Legion Auxilary Post 28; member of the 40 and 8 club; and St. Joseph's Altar Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Leo BERG; a son, William E. BERG; four brothers, Howard HINES, Irven HINES, Raymond HINES and an infant brother; a sister Georgia HINES and a granddaughter, Donna HAINES.

Survivors include a daughter, Virginia Marie HAINES, Albequerque (sic), N.M.; three sisters, Gladys HOFFMAN COX, Grand Island, Neb., Catherine McCATHERN, Grand Island, Neb. and Genevee HINES, Omaha, Neb.; and five grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation is currently underway at Price Funeral Home, Maryville.

Legion of Mary Rosary will be performed at 4 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 30, at Price Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 31, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Parnell, with Fr. Donald MILLER officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Parnell.
