At the age of four years she moved with her parents to Adams county, Iowa, where she grew to womanhood. In the spring of 1896 the family moved to Ringgold county, Iowa. On March 8, 1898, she was married to Frank B. SWAN. To this union one son was born, Clement G. SWAN, now of Kansas City. On July 22, 1911, she was married to Ben SCOTT, of Kellerton, Iowa. To this union one daughter was born, Maurine SCOTT, of the home.
She is survived by her aged father, T. O. JONES, with whom she and her family have made their home and cared for several years. May, as she was known to her many friends, was a kind and loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed in the home. Her life was a life of service for her loved ones. She took tender care of her mother through a lingering sickness of five years and was taking care of her aged father at the time of her death.
Funeral services were held at the home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by her pastor, Rev. E. E. VOSS, of the Methodist church and laid to rest in Rose Hill cemetery at Mount Ayr. The floral offering was beautiful and profuse.
