NOTICE of DEATH.
Passed to spirit life, March 2d, 1884, Mary Elizabeth, aged 3 years 6 months 22 days, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar FULLERTON. Words of comfort by Rev. WHITE of Eugene, from 2nd Kings 4 26, "It is well."
Dear little Mary, (for such she was to all who knew her,) seemed sent only as a mission of love, as her common phrase was, "I love papa and mamma, Murtie and Robie too, I love you, I love everybody."
These words were often repeated during the week of her illness. Thoughts of the hours are lightened by her loving acts. She frequently clasped one, or both parents to her little form, as long as strength would allo, or hold a hand of each in hers and speak the names of her little brothers. When in health her evening prayer, "now I lay me down," was often finished with "God bless every body," after mentioning all her dear ones. She also left testimony, which from one of her tender years proves rousing and looking up, after a little rest, she said, "I am going home," a friend asked to Jesus? "Yes" was the quick reply, "I want papa and mama to go too." Oh how these remembrances endear her memory to us, and knowing the fair, may the good angels help us do the preparatory work here, that we may enjoy that haven of love with her and all the blessed. We extend our tenderest sympathy to the parents, pointing them to her happy dwelling place and the sustaining Power that never fails in time of need. --A FRIEND.
