Arrived too Late

Creston, Ia. Feb. 1 – A runaway pair were united here this week just fifteen minutes before the father of the bridegroom arrived to try and prevent the marriage. The parties to the elopement were Mr. Roy Tedford and Miss Mattie Nichols, both of whom reside in Ringgold County. The father forgave his son after he found he was too late to prevent the marriage. He says the boy is not of age, but the latter had sworn he was 21. His wife if 18 years old.
