The Pottawattamie County Genealogical Society has indexed most obituaries from the Council Bluffs Nonpareil for the past 80 years or so. There's a good chance Edwin Honig is included. The Council Bluffs Public Library has Nonpareils on microfilm.

After Edwin's death, Myrtle and her children moved to Boomer Twp. north of Council Bluffs where she managed the rural telephone exchange. I believe she moved to Mills Co., IA eventually.
