Stephen Sulentic, 73, 2532 S. 18th St., died Wednesday at a local hospital following a long illness.
A native of Lovinac, Yugoslavia, he resided in Council Bluffs 50 years. He retired in 1945 as a crane operator for the Union Pacific Railroad.
Sulentic was a member of Holy Family Church.
Survivors include widow, Eva; three sons, Emil, Joseph, and Police Sgt, Nick J., all of Council Bluffs; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Bankus of Marysville, Calif., and Mrs. Madeline Speer of Albuquerque, N.M., 16 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Beem - Belford Funeral Home is in charge.

Requiem Mass for Stephen Sulentic, 78, 2532 S. 18th St., will be said at 9 a. m. Saturday at the Holy Family Church. The Rev. Fred P. Reischl will be celebrant. Interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
Rosary will be cited at 8:15 p. m. Friday at the Beem - Belford Funeral Home. Mr. Sulentic died Wednesday at a local hospital following a long illness.
