John Van Cleve Rites Tuesday

Services for John Van Cleve, 49, of 810 Forest ave., will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Highland Park funeral home, with burial in Glendale cemetery.

Mr. Van Cleve died of lung cancer Saturday at Iowa Lutheran hospital, following a six-month illness. He was owner of the Van Cleve Roofing Company, here.

Surviving are his widow, Pauline; three sons, Jack, John Jr. and James, all of Des Moines; his mother, Mrs. Hattie Shepard of Des Moines; four sisters, Mrs. Ethel Scott, Mrs. Gladys German and Mrs. Nina Beebe, all of Des Moines, and Mrs. LaVerne Haynes of California, and one grandchild.
