Fred Zimmer died August 24, 2011 after a long battle with cancer at his home with his wife, Gayle, by his side.
He is survived by his four children and their families, Josh and Sarah Zimmer, Jared Zimmer and his children, Dominique and Collen, Kate and Richard Vrchoticky, and Karie and Tom McLaughlin and their children, Keegan, Atticus, and Huck.
