Vera Louise "Pat" Otto, 81, passed away October 16, 2011 at the Carlisle Center for Wellness and Rehab. She was born November 10, 1929 in Davis City, Iowa to Mr. and Mrs. Riley Forkner.
Vera was a loving wife and mother. She was also a business woman and an administrator for Lawrence Otto's Plastering. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years. Vera loved to have people express their faith and love through music, singing and fellowship at her home. She was a caring person and would help anyone in need. Vera loved the Lord with all her heart. Living for Jesus Christ was her life.
Vera is survived by her children, Jackie Schofield, Gracia Bennett and Wilma Schofield; sister, Shirley Lucas; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Kenny Lee Schofield; husband, Larry Otto; grandsons, Jeremy Ray and Shalan Ray; five half brothers and half sisters; and five brothers and sisters.
Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Avon Cemetery followed by a Celebration of Vera's Life at 5 p.m. at Southtown Pentecostal Assembly, 510 E. Rose Ave. where all are invited to share their memories of her life.
Memorial contributions may be made to Southtown Pentecostal Assembly.
