Vickie Mambu, 60, died Wednesday, September 28, 2011, after a brief illness at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines surrounded by her three daughters, her sister Edith and best friend, Wendy Wilson. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel.
Vickie was born and raised in Des Moines and recently retired from Principal Financial Group where she worked for over 30 years.
Vickie was preceded in death by her grandparents William & Ruth Spriggs and Leonard & Hazel Murray.
She is survived by her husband Patrick Mambu, her daughters Erin Boyd, Tamara Boyd and Andrea Boyd, her stepdaughter Sunnah Mambu, her parents Lacey & Delores Spriggs, sister Edith (JD) Daniels, brother Lacey (Teresa) Spriggs, Jr., nieces Angelina Spriggs, Evalena Spriggs and Erica Daniels and nephew Jason Daniels.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7pm Wednesday at Iles Funeral Homes-Westover Chapel.
