Wed Without Parental Consent

Sarah Jane Polk, daughter of Jefferson S. Polk, railway magnate and multi-millionaire, was married in Des Moines in the study of Rev. H. O. Reeden, of the Central Church of Christ, to Albert Maish, an insurance agent. The couple immediately left for Denver, but will return to Des Moines for permanent residence. The match was made in opposition to the wishes of the young lady’s parents
