Frank Cochrane, of Des Moines, attempted suicide on the afternoon of the 22d, on account of domestic difficulties, shooting himself with a small revolver. The ball struck a bone, glanced, and followed a rib around the body, lodging under the shoulder blade. He will probably recover.
