Services for Virgil Storm will be Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 10 A.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Burial will be in the Humeston Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice in Chariton. Online condolences:www.pierschbacherfuneralhome.com.

Virgil Henry Storm was born September 19, 1923 in Kent, Iowa to Lester and Dora Storm. Virgil grew to love the land in his farming and operated his sawmill business. He turned his knowledge of operating the sawmill into his lifelong business for the past 50 years.

Virgil entered into eternal life on April 24, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He is preceded in death by his parents Lester and Dora Storm, and infant daughter Kathleen.

Virgil is survived by his wife Dorothy of nearly 66 years, his son Ken (Robin), grandchildren: Aaron (Christo) of Columbia, MO, Adam (Kristie) of Lucas, Jennifer (Brett) Black, Anica Klouda of Des Moines, Landon (Tiffany) Klouda of Altoona, nine great-grandchildren: Abby and Trace Storm, Melia, Maraena, Serena and Sabrie Black, Colton and Cadence Klouda, and Chanel Klouda. Also by brothers Robert, Arlington Heights, IL, Keith (Mary Ann) Chariton, Raymond (Shirley), Charles (Ruth), and sister Patsy all of Humeston. ~ The Des Moines Register, Wed 27 Apr 2011.
