Runnells Man is Worker in Medals

It isn't every town in the country that can boast of a genuine, dyed-in-the-wool genius of the iron working variety. Sim Wallace is a man that does his work in a workman-like manner, promptly and accurately. Some time back he won a diploma at the Jasper county fair for expert horse-shoeing. At his home has framed a picture worked entirely in iron and steel which took first premium at the Iowa State fair. The picture in question is composed of pansies and popies encircling a nickle-plated horseshoe. The flowers are perfect in design, worked in iron and painted in their natural colors. Below these flowers there hangs a nickle-plated heart. Resides this floral display of his ingenuity he has birds, dog heads and vases of flowers all worked in iron. - Runnels Telegram.
