Looking back
As taken from the files of the Reporter, February, 1943-- Bill Kerwick, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. P. Kerwick of here, who left Emmetsburg with the Palo Alto county selectee contingent February 4, is now in an army camp at Battle Creek, Michigan. He is receiving special training for guarding war prisoners, it is reported.
-- Charles Konsella received word Saturday to report in Chicago on Friday, February 26, for induction into the armed service. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Konsella.
-- Mr. and Mrs. Harland Soper received word recently that their son, Ensign Harland Soper, is temporarily stationed at Pearl Harbor awaiting his assignment to foreign service.
-- John Ellis, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Ellis, who entered the Army February 6, was sent from Camp Dodge last Thursday to Fort Sill, Oklahoma, where he is stationed in the field artillery
