Kelly Grubb, a young farmer living south of Blanchard, died at his home Saturday. He was taken ill about three weeks ago, but was only dangerously ill the last three or four days. It was reported that he had been poisoned by eating candy. The funeral services were held at the home Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock conducted by Rev. Homer, pastor of the M.E. church at Northboro. The deceased leaves a widow, a father and mother, besides other relatives. The father and mother could not be present at the funeral, their home being in Virginia.

NOTE: Gravestone search records indicate that Robert Kelly Grubb was the son of Peter Darius and Polly Ann (Umberger) Grubb and married to Maude E. (Steel) Grubb.
