Funeral services for Blanche Lyman, 80, were held at the American Lutheran Church in Melvin; Friday, April 20. H. Adix, pastor, was officiating clergyman at the 1:30 p.m. services.

Casket bearers were Russel Benz, Robert Benz, Frank Leinen, Dickson Benz, Adolph Senn and Lloyd Ahrenstorff. Interment was in the Baker Township Cemetery.

Blanche Lyman, daughter of Henry and Doris Fink, was born in Melvin, August 17, 1898. She lived her youth, attended school and grew to young womanhood in this vicinity. She was united in marriage to George Lyman of Melvin, December 12, 1917. After their marriage they farmed east of Melvin for 10 years. Her husband preceded her in death in 1927 and Blanche moved in with her parents and assisted them on the farm.

In 1963 Blanche became ill and spent the remainder of her life in various nursing homes. She died at Country View Manor in Sibley; April 17, 1979, at the age of 80 years and eight months.

She is survived by two brothers, Floyd Fink of Sacramento, Calif., and Victor Fink of Melvin; two sisters, Lily (Mrs. Leon Guertin) of Sibley and Ruby (Mrs. Floyd Heiller) of Ocheyedan; nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother Forrest; two sisters, Mrs. Garrett Fransen and Mildred Fink.

She was baptized and confirmed in the Melvin Lutheran Church and was a member of the American Lutheran Church of Melvin.
