Funeral services were held February 9, 1991 for Lily L. Guertin at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Sibley. Burial was at the Holman Township Cemetery in Sibley, with the Walton-Roste Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Lily Lena (Fink) Guertin was born on August 23, 1902 at Melvin, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Dora (Schaffer) Fink. She grew up in the Melvin area and graduated from Melvin High School. She then attended Morningside College and began her career in teaching.

On November 18, 1922, she was united in marriage to E. Leon Guertin in Sibley. E. Leon passed away February 26, 1970.

During her life she was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Sibley. Nearly 10 years ago she moved to Forest Lake, MN to be with her remaining family. She died at the Birchwood Nursing Home in Forest Lake at the age of 88 years. Surviving are five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one sister Ruby Heiller of Melvin, Iowa.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, one son and daughter-in-law: Duane and LaVonne Guertin, three sisters and three brothers.
