Peter Graves, aged 18 years, son of Hi Graves, died last Sunday, of influenza. The Graves family was hard hit by the epidemic. All of its members had the malady, and a sister Miss Katie Graves was desperately ill, but is better. The young man is survived by his father and seven brothers and sisters. Pete was employed by the Rock Island Road. He was an industrious fellow and a good boy. The funeral was conducted yesterday afternoon by Rev. George. Kramer.

~Transcriber's Note: Find-a-grave records indicate Peter Graves was born in 1908 and is interred at Holman Cemetery in Sibley, Iowa. He may have the been the son of Hiram and Lena (Wessels) Graves, there is a Katherine "Katie" Graves listed as their daughter.
