Gilbert Jones Family

Gilbert Jones and Golda Carothers were married September 29, 1928, at Rowan. They lived at Garner and Klemme where he worked and became manager of Central Iowa Telephone Company in 1942. They moved to Harris in 1956, and he continued working for the telephone company totaling 25 years. He served on the town council and served as president of the Community Club.

Golda was office secretary for Dr. Carroll at Sibley, for many years. She was a member of the Methodist Church and the Keeping Up Club.

The Jones’ were parents of three children: Audra (Mrs. Fred Burg), Mesa, Arizona; William, Britt, Iowa; and Douglas, Winner, South Dakota.

Gilbert Jones died in 1965. Golda died February 20, 1988.
