Funeral services for Mary Rockafellow, 95, West Liberty, were held Oct. 10, 1988 at Snider Funeral Home, with the Rev. Donald Thompson officiating. Burial was in the Oak Ridge cemetery.

Mrs. Rockafellow died Oct. 7 at the Simpson Memorial Home, following an extended illness.

The daughter of Byron and Mae Elsey Barnes, she was born Oct. 22, 1892 near South Prairie in Muscatine county. She married Raymond Rockafellow Dec. 25, 1911 in Muscatine county. She was a member of the Baptist church and the Rebekah Lodge.

Mrs. Rockafellow is survived by 2 sons, Lowell, West Liberty and Lester, Mesa, Ariz.; a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Ruth) Barkhurst, West Liberty; 6 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a sister and a brother.
